How does one get started?

Have a look at the WikiMedia Editing Reference. For general help please see the WikiMedia Help Page.

It is now mandatory to create an account and log in before editing any pages. To create an account, just click the "create an account or log in" link at the top right corner of any page.

Who is allowed to create and edit pages?

Everybody has the right to edit pages. All previous versions are revision-controlled and admins can easily rollback vandalized pages.

How to categorize pages?

To add a page to a category, add a category tag at the bottom of the page. For example,

[[Category:FAQ]]

How to create a new FAQ page?

  1. Make sure that the FAQ you are trying to add is not already present and does not overlap with one of the FAQs in Category:FAQ
  2. Create a new page, preferably with a name ending in FAQ. Eg: Wikicities_FAQ
  3. Add the following line at the bottom of the page:
    [[Category:FAQ]]
  4. Add questions as sections with answers as text immediately following the section header. Eg:
    ==This is the quesion==
    And this is the answer
  5. If there are more than 3 questions, a Table of Contents section will be automatically generated.
